Soul to my existence




I searched for my destiny within the confusing dreadlocks of time.

Is it a six-figure salary, or a mansion by the tide, or was it all the riches in world right under my feet?

In a true quest to find the purpose of my life, I stumbled upon things that I paid no heed before.

Hunger that dwelled within a stomach that was not mine, a piece of bread would have sufficed for a family of five!

Racism that killed a man who I never knew in my life, for he was simply born human but in a colour that some defied!

Religion that diverted the masses from realising the truth, and the lack of logic leading to profound lies!

Lack of feminism that troubled both men and women in the streets, equal rights were a myth to save some old tradition!

Humanity lost in the race for power and money, going back to the woods would have been a better journey!

I realized I was blind to all of it so far; cause it never bothered me, or anyone I was related to; in one way or other!

I found the purpose of my life is not a lone one, nor a point of destiny.

It was only the unraveling of truths, and fighting for all things suppressed; let it be for you or for a stranger.

I realised the soul of my existence in this life is simply the kindness I had in me.

Hopping through each stones of time One moment, one second Following them etched footprints,  Through seasons, through calenders. Both souls rumbled wordless dances One followed the other, into an abyss. A dying star passed through the void cavern Mouths gazed as the forbidden soul's thirst was put out. Half painted walls whistled a melody damp bedsheet covers gossiped with pillows Bodies with breath floated in the night Souls met through lips, of ripe red lipstick. Hi, I have a name, an identity, but i don't think it matters to you. It doesn't matter who I am, but the only thing that does, is what I convey. So, let's keep all the distractions aside and focus on the point. Have you ever wondered how bad we feel when we hurt someone, intentionally or not. That's when I noticed that, in the same way knowing my name hadn't mattered to you, that apology had no effect on me.
